It’s now available online!
After asking a very simple question recently on social media about whether your kids might like some free lessons in watercolor painting, I was blown away by the response. Over 1000 resounding YES comments flooded through and I knew I had to make these tutorials for kids; who are likely at home not feeling terribly creative right now. (Which last week were just an thought!)
For me this idea popped into my head after my son Marcel and I were doing daily free online workouts for kids with Joe Wicks (The Body Coach) which I thought was so generous to share of him at this time when kids are generally stuck inside due to the current world crisis. Marcel and I appreciated this free act of kindness from Joe so much that I wondered if I could do something similar but in painting. I have always believed that creativity is just as important to the mind and soul as exercise. Art helps us feel mindful and calm without even trying.
I thought perhaps I would be your child’s temporary Art Teacher at least for the next six weeks while they are at home. These lessons are free so anyone (even parents and siblings or those without kids) can also do them. And the first one has just gone online! With a new tutorial that will upload each week.
Materials needed for the course are: Basic watercolour paints (tube or pans.) Watercolour paper and some basic brushes.
I hope you and you little ones really enjoy it! Feel free to share with anyone else you think might like to do it too…
